Volunteers Brittany and Deidre recently went to San Juan del Sur and in addition to helping at the construction site, they also got to spend some time with the students, talking to them about their lives and what the Free High School means to them. They were even kind enough to share some videos of the students with us! In part 1 we meet three of those students:
Alba, who’s 17 and already has a son at home to take care of;
Rommel, who spent all day every day working at a hotel and didn’t have a chance to finish high school for 18 years until he enrolled at the FHS;
And Jose, who comes from a family where no one finished high school.
