From November 20-28, Misha Collins, Osric Chau, the Random Acts team, 25 volunteers who each raised $5,000, and one lucky raffle winner journeyed to San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua for the first time. We met the students and teachers at the Free High School, and we put some sweat equity into building their new campus. We also worked (and played) with children and staff from other local organizations doing great things around San Juan del Sur.
Learn MoreFrom July 1-8, 2016, the Random Acts team and 13 volunteers who each raised $5,000, plus a lucky raffle winner, traveled to San Juan del Sur again — some for the second time — to see the progress made at the Free High School campus and to pitch in on the work at the new campus as well as one of the rural communities. We reconnected with students and teachers we’d previously met and made new friends as well.
Learn MoreThis trip took place from February 9-13, 2017 and was only open to fundraisers who had previously joined us on either the 2015 or 2016 trips. It coincided with the beginning of the school year and the opening of the first building of the Free High School campus, and wasn’t so much about fundraising as it was about celebrating what we had accomplished. Random Acts staff and 11 volunteers got to be part of this special occasion.
