Barrio Planta Project
Barrio Planta Project is an education initiative founded in 2008 to empower low-income children and adults through supplementary schooling programs. Their free classes focus on English as a second language, computer literacy skills, creative arts, and vocational training. These programs promote creativity, confidence, and communication, and through them BPP bridges the gap between the growth of the tourism industry and the needs of the local population.
Every January BPP runs a theater workshop, and Random Acts has sponsored their 2016 original play, The Magic Dream. It was written one of their staff members and reminds the community of the importance of education and children’s rights.
